Jo and Isobel (the organisers) would like to express a big thank you to all of you for making last week’s Bike ‘n’ Ride Tour of Garforth event a successful and enjoyable evening by marshalling, helping with registration, handing out food, etc. etc. They have had some nice feedback from people who took part which is thanks to all your efforts.

LCAG invite you to join us every Saturday for a relaxing social ride of
15 miles. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider, so no-one is left behind! First ride is Saturday 30 July and then every Saturday, same time, same place.
Meet at Roundhay Park car park (The old Tram Terminus) at the junction of Prince’s Avenue and Lidgett Park Road (near main park gates / skate
park) from 10.15am, the ride starts 10:30am. Allow a couple of hours for a gentle, sociable ride, followed by a cafe stop at the end.
Please download these posters, print them off and invite people!

On Friday 24th June Leeds City Council, in partnership with Northern Rail and Evans Cycles will hold a cyclists breakfast at the Cycle Point to celebrate the opening of the first four Leeds Core Cycle Network Routes.
The event will take place between 7.30 and 9.30 am on Friday 24th June and is a chance for cyclists to get together for a chat with other cyclists and council officers about cycling in the city and try out the facilities available at the Cycle Point. The event is open to anybody who travels by cycle into the city on that day.
Breakfast tokens valued at £4 will be available to participants (first 150!) and can be spent at the White Rose Bar in the station concourse. Esporta Leeds are also offering a free VIP day to all cyclists attending the event (with use of all facilities, pool and fitness classes etc). Sign up to this offer over breakfast and use within one month at their city centre health club in The Light.
There will be free parking for the day at the Cycle Point and Evans staff have also offered to give free cycle safety checks, but be quick as they will only have time to check a limited number.
