Social riders

Social rides take place on alternate Sundays, usually from City Square, Oakwood Clock, Pudsey Cenotaph or Moortown Co-op
Rides usually start between 8.30am in summer and 9.30am in winter. Send an email to Jon Farley  - LCAGsocialrides_@_googlemail.com (remove underscores) – for more information or for fortnightly e-mail updates.

These rides are of a social nature.  We don’t ride very fast and there is always a cafe or pub for lunch.

Most rides are 50 miles plus, although some shorter rides are organised occasionally.  Click here to read this years ride reports. For earlier ride reports, click over on the right hand side.

    Hello,

I’d like to say that the new website design is a massive improvement on the previous one both in terms of the layout and the ability to give feedback.

Having attended the social rides for sometime an extra bit of information for new riders which might useful could be the distance for each ride if riders take the short cut. This may encourage more people to give the rides a go.

Thanks for the positive feedback Steve – I will pass on your suggestion to ride leaders and see if they can provide an approximate short cut mileage. I assume you mean where people can take the train back? There is also the ‘breakfast option’ where people join the ride as far as the breakfast stop and then return by their own route. If anyone is planning to do this remember to bring a map so you can find your way home!
